ex·plo·ra·tion - the action of traveling in or through an unfamiliar area in order to learn about it. Being a professional dancer, most of your career is performing other’s art and then fixating on perfection, worrying about the outcome or what the industry will think. So much so that we forget the beauty of exploring our own movement. Doesn’t have to be perfect. Doesn’t have to be big, intricate or iconic. It can just be about experimenting and creating with your body purely for the love of it. Took me a year to get the guts up to post this... I even tried editing it to cut out dull moments or anytime I repeated my movement but that would have completely defeated the purpose of sharing this.
