60’s 620 is 60! A 30-year-old Dieter Rams designed the 620 Chair Programme for Vitsœ in 1962. Using pioneering materials and a concept of modular adaptability, Rams created a chair without compromise – a kit of parts, engineered to outlive its owner. This year, Vitsœ celebrates 620’s 60 years of good design through an exhibition at our London shop – part of the 2022 London Design Festival @l_d_f_official – together with displays at our other shops in Leamington Spa, Los Angeles, Munich and New York. Exhibits include 620 prototypes by Dieter Rams, vintage posters and archive photography, alongside the opportunity to experience the comfort of the chair for yourself.
