a reminder ——— there is no need to submit to the end of year pressure. is it just me or do you feel it too? ‘finish the year strong, hit those last goals of 2022’ — it creates so much false urgency and pressure to act out of alignment. the scary thing is, for those of us who are really sensitive to these energies, we can end up moving from this place, creating all this jangled stress within ourselves without knowing it doesn’t actually belong to us. the turning of the year is beautiful but we have new beginnings available to us every single moment of each and every day. my intention is to finish the year soft. to become more used to doing the low-dopamine tasks. to feel all that I haven’t allowed myself to process in busy years past. to move with even more intention. with the unseen end of year pressure and the escalation of social events and the festive season, now is a more important time that ever to commit deeply, to rest. and a reminder for anyone who is new here —— often in the beginning rest feels HARD. it can be uncomfortable. deeply triggering. it can stir a lot up. this is normal. this is part of the process. this is us breaking the addiction to stimulus, to disconnecting from who we really are, from moving fast to ignore what we feel, what we really crave and what we deeply know. so yes —— it’s not easy. to go slow. to opt out of the pressure to constantly achieve. but the way I see it: either we choose to break the habit and create something beautiful for ourselves, learning to trust and fall in love with our way as we go... or at some point the universe comes along and does it for us. and her way is usually, a LOT more harsh #iykyk 🙃🙃🙃🙃
