Repost - As you can see from my reel, there's a reason we harp on about using certain products and techniques for our curly hair! If we just washed, conditioned and dried it without a diffuser, it turns in to a big poofy mess 😂 You'd never see me dry detangle after I've done a wash day either or just randomly through the day, I only ever do this BEFORE my wash day so I don't get wet hair all tangled in my fingers 🤢 Here are some important things I love to do each wash day to get the most out of my curls! I don't really think about my routines now either, this for me is just as easy as someone with straight hair doing their normal routine. Once you've cracked it, you've cracked it 💪🏻 ✨ Squish to condish - this hydrates and moisturises my curls so well! You get all the full goodness from your conditioner by doing this too. This has been an absolute game changer for me. ✨ Applying a cream for definition - this helps my curls take shape. I do this 90% of the time, the only time I don't is if I've used a conditioner with enough slip and my hair feels really moisturised (I don't want to add more moisture to it as it'll go limp and flat - find that balance!) ✨ Using correct application techniques - praying hands is my most used technique, especially for applying gel, it's so easy but so effective. Great for creating clumps and smoothing down any frizz. ✨ Using a diffuser attachment - I'll be amazed if any curly doesn't use a diffuser attachment when using a dryer! It's the best way to make my curls pop and get some volume as opposed to air drying. What's something you do religiously each wash day? ⬇️ #curlyhair #curls #curly #curlygirl #curlyhairtutorial
