After months of therapy and deep reflection, I made the incredibly hard decision to sell my parents’ home. Sleeping in their bed, walking those familiar halls... it was too much. I realized I wasn’t just holding onto a house—I was holding onto the idea that they were still here. The truth is, the void they left will never be filled. But I’m learning to live with it, to carry it with love instead of resistance. Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting—it means making space for healing. Through it all, the kids had the time of their lives. And while we’ll still return to my hometown, we’ll stay in a hotel—something we were already doing due to space. It’s a new chapter, and we’re writing it with love, memories, and a whole lot of gelato. To anyone navigating grief while raising little ones: you’re not alone. ❤️
