DAH👏🏾LING, she’s strutting into the end of this fabulously queer month knowing that PRIDE month is and will forever be 525,600 minutes a year for this Black queer non-binary kween 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✊🏾 Had to reflect on this month cuz June was filled with such beautiful moments with folks I love and cherish, and with organizations I admire Hunny, she kicked off the June with the honor of being selected as one of @logotv 2022 #LOGO30 😆 which spotlights LGBTQ artists, thinkers, and activists who show their pride in unique and provocative ways ... still gagging over this honor! Then it was off to Hudson with my gworls to celebrate a lovely weekend of Pride festivities with @outhudsonny ... she loves an upstate getaway moment 🚆🌳🏡 Next up was a true gag, with an invite to the @christopherjohnrogers 010 collection fashion show, and gurl I barely blinked during that magical experience cuz it was giving FASHUN and this kween is always inspired by the transcendent werks of art CJR perpetually puts out into the world 🌈 Then got fancy with @dariusgarvin for the @nyrp Spring Picnic Gala at @brooklynbotanic and was truly amazed by all the inspirational werk of the community gardeners that @nyrp uplifts, supports, and empowers. Can’t wait to partner with ya’ll! 🧑🏽‍🌾 Next up was the glamorous experience of meeting @neophytophile at the @stonewallfoundation 2022 Vision Awards ... hunny ... the queer, trans and non-binary magic that ceremony was serving was delectable Then a kween got to hang with her father for Father’s Day weekend, and it was such a lovely time getting to take my dad on a bunch of adventures that weekend ... I love the relationship and friendship we are building as I grow into my own and welcome him into my world And last but certainly not least, a kween got to lead the @nyulgbtq in the @nycpride march ... it’s my 6th year leading a contingent down 5th ave into the village and I’m always grateful for the opportunity to guide my students and colleagues through that experience 💜 To everyone I had a chance to share words, hug, dance, laugh, and celebrate with this month ... thank you for your light ... you made this month so bright and I’m truly grateful ❤️
