Thinking of who I am and what I do and work with, I wouldn’t have a place in iran under this regime. Being queer and working with hair as a tool of expression is something that definitely is against the regimes believes. So my entire existence is punishable based on their point of view. I am as most Iranians abroad so anxious, stressed and saddened but also happy to see the resilience of my beautiful fellow Iranians. This is the first time I am allowing myself to feel hopeful that a change will come🙏🏽 💚🤍❤️ I have been so lucky through the years to have been reached out to by so many creative beautiful fellow Iranian within iran that have told me about their situations, and it has not gone a single day where I don’t think about how extremely different life would have been if my family didn’t choose to leave when we did.
