So “kick it” as many of you know is a Beastie Boys lyric haha. My dad showed me them back in the 2000’s when I was a kid and we would always jam out to it. So it was only appropriate for me to introduce my girls. Fight for your right quickly became a favorite (which I should definitely be worried about..) because we all scream KICK IT!!! at the beginning of the song. Instant stoke. We have probably listened to that song 500 times and it hits just as good each time. So then it became this thing that Ozzy would “tattoo” with marker on me before my races to help me get fired up. She said it gave me “kick it” powers. And it really did. So I figured I’d make those powers permanent. Nothing has given me more adrenaline and pure stoke as hearing my girls yell “kick it dad!!” right before the finish line of a long race. I asked her to write it out for me and she said “ya but can I do it cute?” Hence the flower and heart dotting the i’s. Instantly knew it was the one. I’m so stoked.
