The gift you had for elevating people is a rare one. You genuinely felt joy at seeing people succeed, at knowing what it was that was special about a person and getting them to get excited about it too. You laid a foundation for black British culture to really excel. Humble charming smart cheeky funny shrewd I’m so happy to have known you but even if I didn’t my life was touched by your achievements all the same.
