Just experienced the joy of an in conversation event with the legendary Angela Davis! We discussed abolition, imagination, black liberation and Toni Morrison, who edited her (recently republished) autobiography and sounded like a joy to work with. I so appreciate Angela's reminders to resist individualistic, capitalist thinking. At a time when we are quick to revere the 'lone genius', she does a wonderful job of bringing her work back to the movement, and is always thinking of the collective.
