@jeromesessini – The Photography Trail in Val di Sole 🥾 ⁠ ⁠ Offered an on-site residency in Val di Sole in northern Italy, Sessini was tasked with interpreting the region’s cultural project of summer 2022, ‘Men and Mountains.’ The resulting photographs, mainly in black-and-white, examine Val di Sole through a new lens, reflecting on life at high altitudes and the challenges posed by the mountainous landscape. ⁠ ⁠ “I was born and grew up in the east of France in the Vosges department, a mountainous place. I started as a self-taught photographer at the age of 20, photographing the landscapes and people of my homelands. This project in Val di Sole has allowed me to work in a setting that is an integral part of my life and that I know so well. The strength and silence of the mountains.
