“It’s rare to surf this wave in the sun. This day’s session was sort of an afterthought. We had packed the boat in the dark and planned on heading up the coast in search of a different wave that was meant to be good the next day. With conditions forecasted to be terrible for travelling on the water we wanted to leave a day before the swell and camp to wait out the storm. Our hopes of this wave being good were pretty slim but we were driving past so we thought we might as well look.
