Some of us are lucky to have one mother present in our lives. Mine has been there for it all—from my first steps, to the first time I got in trouble, to hand-feeding me during busy college nights, to being the loudest one cheering for every win. Her love is the foundation of who I am. And somehow, I got even luckier. I don’t know what I did to be granted a second mother—a woman who completely undoes the “evil Pakistani MIL” trope I grew up seeing. She’s been a steadfast supporter of my career journey post-marriage, inspiring me with her own strength and constantly reminding me that I’m capable of big things. Today, I celebrate both. Two women who have loved me deeply and shown up for me in ways I’ll never take for granted. 🤍🧿
