Four years ago I started college with a dream of finding community. My 18 year old self had no idea what the next season of her life would look like. How transferring colleges, going to school out of state, & a whole pandemic would play such a big role in keeping that dream from me. There’s all these clubs and groups in college it’s supposed to be easy to find friends right? That wasn’t always the case for me. When I graduated college & moved back to my hometown, it was truthfully the last place I thought I’d find community. I didn’t stay in touch with anyone from high school & the people I considered family had moved away. I then decided to tell the internet that I was lonely. As someone who’s a perfectionist that was the last thing I wanted to do. Four years of prayers for community & God uses social media of all things to bring about THIS!! I do not post these videos to show that I have friends or to brag about anything at all. But because I was the girl who needed something to hope for, I was the girl crying on the floor wondering when it was my turn to have community. So this is for the girl who needs to know that her prayers aren’t wasted. His timing is perfect & He’s doing something in your heart that’s going change the world 🫶
