Meet Petunia! This precious gal is a 5-year old, 35 lb, mixed breed pup. She was a part of a hoarding case in rural Alabama. When we first met Petunia she was in an outdoor kennel due to the overcrowded shelter having limited space, and she was surrounded by her litter of puppies. She was pretty shy but so incredibly sweet. Luckily, we were able to rescue her and her puppies (Polly, Peter, Prim and Poppy who were all recently adopted). Despite what she had been through in her past and being a bit shut down, she has been an angel of a pup in foster care and has started to show more and more of her personality as she’s gotten comfortable! Petunia loves other dogs and has blossomed having a confident pup around to play with and show her the ropes. She'd thrive with a buddy in her forever home that will encourage her to come out of her shell! She is a well-behaved houseguest who is potty trained, loves her crate and has a well-balanced personality. She is starting to love playtime with other pups and her daily walks and also loves nap time and cuddles. Petunia has the most gentle, loving demeanor and has the softest spirit. She is a total mush who's happiest when she's getting ear and back scratches. Petunia is such an incredibly special dog who is looking for her people that will continue to show her the world is full of love and will help her continue to gain confidence.
