#newarrival We've been working with @beaufortquentin for a while (Jenny even helped Quentin to harvest back in the day), so his delicious Petit Beaufort is no stranger to fans of all things sparkling 🫧 As a member of the prodigious Beaufort Champagne family, Quentin also cultivates 2 small parcels in Polisy, in the southern part of the Champagne region close to Chablis (whose fossil-rich limestone terroir it shares) and Burgundy. Following in the steps of his famous grandfather André and father Jacques, whose Champagne house was among the first to farm organically (since 1971), Quentin goes well beyond the requirements of organic: he uses treatments such as copper only when necessary and prefers to replace them by preventive, strengthening herb infusions, aromatic oils and, mainly, a lot of handwork! Working this way in his part of Champagne is not an easy feat, as the area is quite cold and often falls victim to spring frosts, summer rains and other whims of the local weather... as a result, Quentin's yields (and his production, in consequence) are often severely limited, sometims only a couple of barrels per year. So it's with great pleasure that we now bring you his 2017 Brut Nature Champagne! 100% Pinot Noir from vines planted in 1972 and 1992, spontaneously fermented and then aged in bottles for a minimum of 40 months. Disgorged by hand, zero dosage and zero SO2, this is one generous, textured Champagne. Serve in a big enough glass to fully enjoy its enticing toasted notes and floral freshness...
