It’s never nice to write negatively about somewhere, particularly when you have been so incredibly excited to visit, but the truth is the truth and I’m not going to sugarcoat my experience. I want to start right at the beginning with @monsieur_bleu as I honestly had my suspicions even when I attempted to make a booking that they were being slightly bizarre about me being in a wheelchair. Through viewing their social media, I noticed that they had a few people doing their PR and that you should contact them directly to make a booking. So, that’s exactly what I did. However I was ignored, at least four or five, maybe even six times. It’s genuinely not very often my mind goes straight to the ”they’re ignoring me because I’m disabled” card, but to test my theory, I got my stunning friend @jennamacxx to message the same girl I had been trying to contact for weeks, and guess what – she got a reply straight away 🙃 To be honest, that told me all I needed to know, so in the end, I tried booking via email and was told several times they don’t take bookings for the Terrace. I call bullsh!t, because I saw several friends visiting over the following months and sitting right on said terrace. Part of me was thinking I should just sack it off and not bother going – why go somewhere where you’re clearly not welcome? But I didn’t want to not experience the restaurant and the food simply because I had encountered one or two clearly ignorant, narrowminded staff members. Sigh... shame I didn’t have the power of foresight, hey!? 🤓 #paris #monsieurbleu #parissociety #accessibility #disabledtravel #accessibletravel
