Shoutout to @drnadiaazar for her hard work and dedication to proving that drummers are athletes. Swipe to see my vitals from just a single show. Without proper athletic conditioning through practice and performances (plus whatever work you can get in at the gym or off the stage) I’d bet that very few people could maintain the physical wear and tear that drumming live night after night demands. The point? Drumming is really good for you - physically and mentally. But if you can put in extra work outside the practice and performance space to build more physical strength, cardio, and endurance, your drumming (and overall health) will benefit greatly!
