Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre’s adaptation was shot near Oswestry last autumn and involved a lot of increasingly chilly “romping around in the woods and the river” according to Emma Corrin. The performer brings a luminous quality to the role of slowly suffocating lady-of-the-big-house Connie Chatterley, who experiences a sensual awakening with her gamekeeper George Mellors (a perfectly cast Jack O’Connell).
