take me back to last week, hiking through the first snow of the season (watch the video to the end with sound up) 🏔 what’s a place that feels like home to you even though you don’t live there? this hike on our last day was so special. the whole trip was taken in memory of our trip to colorado with Mom last october, our last trip together. we hiked, cooked, laughed, breathed, chased the yellow aspens, took in every star, and let the first snow fall on our faces one year ago with her in moments just like these (but entirely different, of course). it’s all a lesson in gratitude, isn’t it? we must slow down to be deeply thankful for every breath, every day, every person we love, every memory, all of it.
