okay, so how do these work as heat protectants? 🙃 See, I always thought kinda silly but that there were flame retardants in hair heat protection. But you can still burn and damage your hair with high heat and no protection. 🔥 I always relate it to baking cookies. Your average chocolate chip cookie bakes at 350°. Now, when you go to take that pan out of the oven you know that there’s no way that you’re going to grab that with your bare hands - or you will burn your hands. Point blank. 🍪 It’s the same thing with your hair, if you put a hot tool to your hair without any heat protection you are immediately going to burn it. 🙊 Some of these heat protection ingredients work by creating a conductive film over the length of your hair, helping to evenly disperse heat throughout your strands.
