The cycling community will have a couple memorial gatherings in remembrance of Jacob Hill and Lennie Antonelli and to support their families during this time of mourning. Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of their loved one. I am sharing below UPDATES from the Asheville Community on the Memorial Ride Saturday and Memorial Service Sunday this weekend in Asheville for Jacob and Lennie: The Memorial Bakery Ride is on for Saturday morning, with a slight modification: after leaving from @gravelo at 9:30-10am. the B ride portion will regroup as normal at @onyourbike_nc in Marshall. The ride will then proceed en masse down River Road to the site of the accident. We will stop there for a time to pay respects. -The memorial ride leaving from @onyourbike_nc will not depart until NOON on Saturday, July 5th - if you are riding from @gravelo.workshop tmrw morning at 9:30am please park across the street at Wells Fargo - ALL ARE WELCOME FOR THE MEMORIAL RIDE! Please come ride 🙂 - we are expecting a LOT of turnout for this part of the ride. There will be a police escort. Please be safe, make smart choices, and be respectful Memorial service on Sunday July 6 at 3:00 at liberty bicycles located at 1378 Hendersonville Road. Everyone is welcome, and we mean everyone. Please come share your respects, stories, tears, jokes, or simply your presence. Jacob’s and Lennies family, as well as Griffin, Maddie, and their families will be in attendance. The event may be crowded. Drive smart and try to carpool.
