This past week has been one of the most magical and connected of my life: 💛I hosted queer prom with @pinksuitsband and @sillyalexnorris, and it genuinely couldn’t have gone better - the love in @margateartsclub that night was unreal (I have about 1000 gorgeous pics from the night to share with you soon, @sdaly82 is a photographic genius!!) 🧡@revoltingrosy and I celebrated the 4 year anniversary of our life drawing class @bodylovesketchclub! Can’t believe we’ve been getting naked and nerding out on creative empowerment and celebrating bodies for 4 whole years, the birthday party we hosted was very cute and wholesome ❤️My doc The Virtual World of Sex Ed was broadcast on @bbcradio4!! @annadewolff and I worked on it for 6 months and I’m chuffed with how it’s turned out, it’s got me excited to do more broadcasty bits in the future 💗I did my first Sexy Sermons event since before the pandemic! To be speaking in front of an audience again was VERY nerve-wracking and VERY fulfilling, and reminded me this is truly my favourite way to talk about the subjects I care about most. Love that I’m working with @thehalearts to put these on, and can’t wait for the next one (tickets on sale soon!) The last year’s been fucking hard - defined by grief, with a generous helping of crappy mental health and feeling quite lost in myself. None of that’s gone away, I’ll always be carrying it, but this week has reminded me of the beauty and joy in my life which I truly could not be more grateful for. It means so much and I’m sending a huge hug your way 💘 It’s my birthday tomorrow - the last one til 30, which feels a bit dauting.
