that solo vacay shmmmoooddd, hunny 🧖🏽‍♀️ while I have always enjoyed traveling with the folks I cherish and love in this life ... there is something that hits different when you travel alone, and I’ve come to enjoy it ... and have made a promise to myself that at least once a year that I’d treat myself to this adventure currently reading all about love by the transcendent being that is bell hooks, and it could not be more of a perfect read for this moment ... in her mid-twenties she first learned to understand love “as the will to extend one’s self for the purpose of nurturing one’s own or another’s spiritual growth — a life force that when nurtured enhances our capacity to be more fully self-actualized and able to engage in communion with world around us” spending this morning with myself, existing with, leaning into and savoring my solitude, resting for my own rejuvenation, adventuring for the sake of my own enjoyment, loving myself in the most unapologetic of ways
