@bambambaklava asked me to run the New York City Marathon so I did. Like a pack mule through Syrian mountains, I put the baklava on my back and prepared for a long, winding path. At the mountain’s top we found pain and truth balanced perfectly on the same scale. Thank you to the whole support squad: @oldmanrunclub for the foundation, @saidmayan for always being by my side, @tbayt for the patience, @jeslynnyc for the answers, Matt Leonard for locking in training and every perfect pace, countless others for the streetside encouragement, and the Uber driver on the way home for being surprisingly chill about me puking up Gatorade in the back seat.
