The topic is Stadt, Land, Flucht by @artpreacher (translation: city, country, escape) for @flanellemagazine ! A playful examination of my personal escape from Iraq to Germany. The collection is inspired by board games, animes and mangas. It will be an exciting examination of social and cultural currents, which are shaped by western and oriental influences. The process is about recognizing and interpreting these diverse interdependencies of people in their actions as well as their consequences for society and the environment, and visually interpreting them in the form of functional clothing. Here, people with their needs, requirements and the associated design issues are at the center of the creative process in order to develop sustainable, aesthetic and functional design solutions. The collection in three words: positive, creative and sexy. With the collection, I would like to draw attention to the still current topic of escape and get people to deal with the topic more consciously, as there are still many prejudices and ignorance about refugees from different cultures - but I still show my collection in a positive way to motivate people in similar situations.
