When I first came to Auburn, I was looking for community and a way to make a difference. I found both in @auburn.ewb. Through roles as both team lead for Guatemala and chapter president, I have witnessed firsthand the capacity of dedicated engineering students to make a change. In 2022, I travelled to Guatemala to implement a water distribution project, which supplemented potable drinking water to over 40 families. In 2023, I saw a chapter come together to fundraise over $70,000 and send 20 students abroad to projects in Bolivia and Guatemala. Next year, we will once again send two teams abroad to implement water project in developing countries. We recently started an end of year campaign, to continue fundraising efforts further.
