I love this painting by Emmeric of his beloved cat Qui. It’s been in my house almost as long as he’s been in my life, more than two decades. I miss him but I’m so grateful for the incredible body of work he created in his jam-packed time on earth. A lot of his work is way more intense and sexy and epic and narrative than this sweetheart of a little cat portrait, but it really speaks to me and I’m so thankful that it, and therefore he, will continue to have a presence in my home forever. I know everyone lucky enough to have his art with them now feels the same. Rest In Peace, king. @emmerickonrad #rip💔
