Let’s talk about all-time favorite thrillers! In no particular order, here are 5 of my A+, cannot miss books for when you want to treat yourself to a murder. 😆 (Please proceed with caution and read summaries before you read as each of these books have content warnings. ♥️) - Verity, by @colleenhoover. Oh wow. I read this years ago and it still haunts me. Lowen is a struggling writer who receives the opportunity of a lifetime: to finish Verity Crawford’s best-selling series. Secrets come out when Lowen finds the manuscript for Verity’s autobiography. Brilliantly executed and I STILL can’t think about it. - Just One Look by @lindsaycameronauthor. This very addictive book has it all: stalking, suspense, and an unhinged-but-still-loveable protagonist. Cassie’s life is in shambles: due to a previous incident at her last firm she is doing temp work. When one of the senior partners’ emails is accidentally leaked, she becomes immersed in the loving emails between the partner and his wife. - The Last Flight by @julieclarkauthor. I loved this so much that I read it in 12 hours - on edge the whole time. The book surrounds two women, both looking to escape very different (but equally dark) circumstances. When they meet in an airport bar, they hatch a plot to swap plane tickets and take each others flights. But when one flight crashes, all bets are off. - The Wife Between Us by @greerhendricks and @sarahpekkanen - I will stay up all night and read anything these two women write... usually in one sitting. This is probably my favorite of their books... it made me fall in love with the domestic thriller! This is the story of Nellie and Vanessa... the young, happy, bride to be vs. the disturbed and bitter ex-wife. There are two big twists - I guessed the first but not the second. - Notes on an Execution by @danyakukafka - this is more of a literary thriller? The writing is beautiful and the plot is haunting. I felt sick to my stomach after reading it.. In a good way? Ansel Packer is on death row, scheduled to die in twelve hours. The book takes us through the perspectives of several people (including Ansel’s) to show us how he got there.
