Respectfully— DJing for free is never the move. Your skills, time, and experience deserve a fair payout – whether it’s cash, connections, or future DJ gigs. Doing free DJ work sets a bad precedent for the entire DJ community, making venues, event planners & promoters think it’s okay not to pay DJs in the future. This devalues our craft and makes it harder for everyone. If they’re not offering something that grows your DJ career, builds your skills, or puts money in your pocket, it’s a no.
