This weekend, I am celebrating 10 years at Scarlet! It’s been kind of wild reminiscing lately at years, parties, events over the past decade of Scarlet fun. The space has changed, the staff has changed, the parties have changed, but I think it’s safe to say the energy, music and fun continue to be the focus of Scarlet and what we strive to accomplish. In all honesty, I don’t have to look back too far lot be reminded of my favorite events, my favorite parties, my favorite regulars, my favorite staff to have worked with. I’m proud to have been able to make Scarlet a space where people continue to come to every week. A space that people are excited and happy to come back to over and over. If you didn’t know, I co-created The Takeover nine years ago and co-created the No Skips concept, both of which are two of Scarlet’s weekly, staple events, and I’m also one of four resident DJs. But I’m not going to dwell on what we’ve done and what we’re doing. I can’t wait to see what we do next! I can’t wait to continue to provide a space that people see themselves in, feel safe in, have the time of their lives in! Alright, let me wrap this up 😂 There are two people who I am forever thankful for in my career: Angel and Paul. @paulcannella , as owner, laid the groundwork for the energy and atmosphere Scarlet is known for. @mirandachicago , as general manager (and boyfriend) has provided non-stop support, but also a creativity and a strong business mind that has evolved Scarlet into a place that people want to spend their time in, week after week, year after year. I have to thank my coworkers who have been on this wild journey with us for years. I have never felt as much love and respect with a staff as I do for the current ones (big shout out to @ericthulhu @joshantney @all.stone & @behumble_89 specifically, love all v much) Last but not least, I need to thank all of the customers, regulars and friends who come out and celebrate with us! Making all of you happy (whether it be a song request, a one-off event, an all-day all-eras, or just getting to let loose on the dance floor) is what it’s all about 🥳 Cheers to 10 years and cheers to many more 😁 💕
