A special announcement was made today - it’s still surreal to see old family clips aired on national TV for the world to see. Still surreal to have the privilege of letting people in to my family, my life and my experiences. But it’s real. And it’s what @domthattil and I are doing in my latest campaign. Today, in partnership with @olayau and @minus18youth, I’m launching the Glow Up Your Own Way campaign - a national initiative to destigmatise issues impacting the LGBTQIA+ community and support those struggling with low confidence and self acceptance. There will be more to come, but I’ve been working on this with them for months to tell not only my story, but my brothers & our family’s story. To talk about how culture and religion shaped our experience. To create conversations, host round tables, speak directly to the youth we are trying to serve, to encourage people to live with PRIDE.
