2022, what a year. Thought the last few were juicy but maybe 2022 took the cake. We started the year barely able to get a gig together, and finished the year with 7 straight sold out shows. It’s been nearly a month since our last gig of the year and we’re just now getting our heads screwed on again. Two nights with Eddie Chacon, John Carroll Kirby & their band was a true heartwarmer, 24 hrs of tenderness. We finished at St James with Surya Botofasina, Nate Mercerau & Carlos Niño & Friends delivering a transcendental swathe of sound, closing the year out with some much needed deep breaths. Deepest thanks to everybody who has been involved with Church of Sound this year. The audience, the musicians, the crew, the sound, the lights, the bar, the food, the St James congregation, so many of you in the local area. Truly it takes a neighbourhood to raise a child and we’ve been incredibly lucky to be looked after by you all.
