As part of @photopia_ham 2022, we’re presenting my 2019 project, Selfie Harm where I photographed 15 teenagers and gave them the images to retouch via easily accessible phone apps. The subjects altered themselves until they deemed their image as ‘instagram-ready’. Shown side by side with the original images, all models preferred their original image.
