Alserkal Advisory launches ‘A Feral Commons’, a new global co-commission project uniting cultural districts from the Global Cultural Districts Network (GCDN) across four continents, each presenting a public art commission in response to the collective theme around climate change. A series of commissions, curated by Tairone Bastien (@tairone76) in four cultural districts — Onassis Stegi, Athens; Alserkal Avenue, Dubai; Victoria Yards, Johannesburg; and Kingston Creative, Kingston, proposes an alternative vision of what the commons, typically defined as lands or resources shared by individuals in communities, could mean in the context of a multi-species world.
