For a long time, healing my gut felt like a constant tug-of-war between what my body needed and what I actually enjoyed eating. I used to think that in order to feel better, I had to give up all the joy that food brought me until I realized that healing and satisfaction don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Over the years, I’ve learned to nourish myself in a way that supports my body and honors my love of food. I’ve experimented, I’ve relearned, and I’ve created recipes that not only helped me feel better physically, but also helped me reconnect with the pleasure and creativity of eating. These are the kinds of meals and snacks that became staples on my gut health journey. They are healing, yes, but also flavorful, beautiful, and soul-satisfying. Because I’m not here to settle for bland or boring, and neither should you. If you’re in a season of healing or just wanting to feel more aligned with your body, I hope this inspires some new ideas.
