My best friend went to be with Jesus yesterday morning. After fighting stage four lymphoma for months he’s PAIN FREE! He gets to dance in Heaven with our Savior! Praise God! When Grandpapa moved in with us 4 years ago I had no idea the blessing that it would be. I would go and talk to him every day after school, and he would always have a piece of wisdom for me or would call me some funny name to make me smile. We would just laugh and laugh constantly! He would always light up every time I came over, and he would get so so excited to spend time with me. He would tell me how proud he was of me for not only who I was but also for my faith. He would tell me that the most important thing in life is to serve and love the Lord. And no one modeled that better than him. He would wake up at the crack of dawn and start praying for our family every single day! The seeds of intercession he sewed will bear fruit for generations! When we found out he had cancer back in March I knew his life on earth was coming to an end. I went home to surprise him one weekend and man the Lord blessed our time together. When he could normally only talk for 5-10 minutes due to the pain, we talked for 3 hours! He was pain free that weekend! When I went home for Easter two weeks later he was pain free again. When I went home in May after school he was pain free again! We were even able to go to breakfast together upon his request! How good is our God!! Every time I would go home I would pray that God would protect my heart by not seeing my Grandpapa in pain. He answered that prayer EVERY TIME! He is so so good! The idea of going home and not seeing that sweet old man sitting in his chair breaks my heart. But, knowing that he is in Heaven with our Savior gives me more joy than I knew possible! He wasn’t healed on this side of Heaven, but he is healed now! Thank you Lord! I will forever be blessed by knowing my sweet Grandpapa, and I will forever cherish every memory we have together. I love you Grandpapa, and I can’t wait to see you again someday!🤍
