October 31st, 2024. Another day I will not forget. We delivered an introductory guest lecture on Soca and steel pan at the University of Puget Sound. It was an introductory session aimed at introducing students to the vibrant music traditions and history of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. Shout out to @kim_davenport_88 & Kimani still smiles over here. The students were eager and we delivered on the transition from Calypso to Soca and demonstrated the Steelpan.
