It used to be shocking, even alarming, to me to witness just how deep seated some other people’s hatred are for anything or anyone not-white, not-straight, not-American, and not-Christian. But now, I am no longer shocked or alarmed. I am determined. Determined to explore and embody every beautiful part of myself and others this cold world tries to snuff away. It is a sad place to be to have a heart and a imagination that refuses to be grateful that another person is here, alive, and doing what they can to make this world a better place.
