Still at it! 🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏽🤸🏾‍♂️ Today marks 24 consecutive weeks of our collective Food Security Program prepared meals deliveries with / for our compas @citgny, since pivoting based on last season’s feedback to provide more individually packaged meals (to better meet the expressed needs of community members with varying housing and working situations); alongside fresh produce shares and egg deliveries. In the last, almost-half-year span, together 💚 we’ve raised funds for and sourced two refrigerators for #comedorcomunitarioLGBTQI — all the better to hold this lovingly prepared, culturally relevant food by @1to1foods @pixiescoutnyc made with veg grown and co-invested by @rocksteadyfarm! 💚 collaboratively catered a 150-person PRIDE party @queensmuseum 💚 farmed, swam, harvested and frolicked with #TGNC fam in field trips to @rocksteadyfarm and @brooklyngrange 💚distributed 2,223 pounds of vegetables thus far @brooklyngrange! 💚raised almost $40K to expand our work with @blacktransliberation 💚began planning culinary workshops, and 💚built community, gained trust and invested in each other’s care and getting free — which is, as the commercials say, what’s truly priceless.
