My parents were both raised and met at age 14 in Fayetteville, NC. My two older brothers and I were born there. When I was 16 months old we left Fayetteville and we haven’t lived there since. When we retired my mother in January I asked her what she wanted to do. She said she was ready to move back home. So after 40 years away, we sold my mother’s house in the DC area and she moved back to our hometown in June. This is my first trip to visit her. So many emotions. This is a full circle moment for my family. I’m so thankful that I could help to make my mother’s retirement dream come true 🙏🏾.
