Every year since 1931, @rockefellercenter has brought holiday festivities to the heart of Midtown Manhattan, through the world-famous tradition of showcasing a giant Christmas tree—and this year is no different. Our Norwegian Spruce comes from Queensbury, New York, and stands 82 feet tall and 50 feet wide. It was donated by The Lebowitz Family of Glens Falls, New York. Designed by Daniel Libeskind and weighing 900 pounds, the treetop’s star has 70 spikes and is adorned with Swarovski crystals. The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 7:00 – 10:00 p.m., 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY.
