To celebrate the World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards we are thrilled to be welcoming back @elkano_jatetxea to Brat for a one night collaboration dinner.
A six course menu heavily influenced by the sea, with three courses by Tomos and three by Aitor and Pablo. Aitor and Pablo will be bringing fresh ingredients with them from Getaria. We’ll be serving classics such as marinated anchovies, grilled hake kokotxas and bonito with caramelised peppers. Tomos' dishes will feature Welsh lobster rice, sow pig and produce picked on the morning of the event from @flourishproduce.
Elkano was Founded by Pedro Arregui in 1964, the iconic restaurant is situated in the coastal town of Getaria, known as the birth place of open-fire cooking. Now run by Pedro's son, Aitor Arregui, and Head Chef, Pablo Vicari. Elkano has built a reputation for innovative approach to grilling, ranking #16 best restaurant in the world and a destination restaurant. They have been an influence on Brat's cooking style and approach to ingredients from the very start of our journey and we cannot wait to welcome them back in London this Saturday.
Although this event is currently sold out we always have last minute cancellations- for those of you already on the waitlist we will be in touch should space become available. The barrels are always available for those of you who want to come by for a glass... or two!
