Getting a new wheelchair feels like replacing something that is a part of you. Adjusting to my power chair has created a whirlwind of emotions. I am in the process of finding a new sense of style with the new freedoms and limitations I have. Self expression through fashion has always been a way for me to process and cope with my feelings. This was my second day using this chair and my very first shoot in it. I am not used to how I look in this new shell, but rolling into spring I am trying to bloom and embrace change like all the flowers around me. I’m grateful for brands like @JCPenney who offer a wide range of adaptive clothing to fit all of my accessible dreams and desires.
