It’s 2022 and 12 trips around the sun have brought the Discovery LP masters back to me and Wes. • For its re-entry into earth’s atmosphere we are working with Secretly Canadian on the distribution side. We both have our own labels too — Wes is debuting his Tennisman’s Wharf Records with this release and I have my Matsor Projects label which has slowly been building a catalogue of singles and full-length projects I’m so proud of. • It’s fitting that the album is now going to come out as a joint venture for both our labels— because the LP was a joint venture for both of us as creators— and the musical ideas, production, and songwriting on this record in some cases predated either of us having careers in music. What motivated us to make this album was a sense of joy in music-making and 13 years later it’s our hope that that joy still sails through the speakers and into your ears. • We also have Kris Chen, our original A+R from 2009 guiding the physical and digital relaunch with his steady hand. There is a rock remix that was previously an iTunes-only Bonus Track. It’s finally on all streaming platforms now and is also part of the LP on wax for the first time ever. • Another first— a Discovery longsleeve tee is up now on our merch store! • And as you would expect from a record called ‘LP’ getting re-pressed in 2022 we now offer the Discovery album in several delicious flavorful vinyl. • Finally, we wanted to say thanks to everyone who kept this record alive.
