How did Betty prepare for roles/appearances? She studied her script at home. She was always prepared. But once she had the lines, she’d put the script aside. In between takes or while waiting to go on, she did crossword puzzles. She ALWAYS had a crossword puzzle book in her purse. She loved games and puzzles.
