Rewinding back to one of our favourite wildlife encounters of last year. . The stripy-butted floof ball, or Numbat (as the experts call them) used to roam freely around southern Australia. But predation, habitat loss and dropping numbers in termites have forced the species into near extinction. It's super sad that such a cool species is really struggling to survive. .
