Emerson Uýra is an Indigenous Brazilian biologist, performance artist and environmental activist. He created a half-animal, half-plant hybrid persona, Uýra Sodoma (photographed above) to demonstrate that "biodiversity also encompasses human life." He has also said, "I transform into Uýra to transit. Transformation to communicate," this is the power of performance art, to expose in "disguise."
