Meet our amazing summer research fellows! Shakhawat Shaimoon, Tara Fletcher, Yaz Wilkerson, Jonathan Belair, and Ari Batu Rivera are our first cohort of Summer UHI Effect Research Fellows. Each with their own experiences with the urban heat island effect across the city; they’re studying the temperature variations amongst the Long Island City and Sunnyside built environments.
