Let's talk about rural organizing! 59.3 million people in the U.S. live in rural areas. Youth voters in rural areas are more likely to face barriers to casting their ballot due to complicated vote-by-mail processes or long distances to polling locations. We talked to organizers in the Alliance Network working in rural areas in Mississippi and Wisconsin to tackle common misconceptions around organizing rural youth and how it may differ from working in urban areas. Featuring: ➡Jarrius Adams from @msvotes ➡Jasmine Segarra from @lit_wi The Youth Organizer Spotlight Series is a digital storytelling project that focuses on the individual narratives of youth organizers who drive the collective local organizing power in the Alliance Network.
